A Bit About My Lineage
In Ireland the Humphrey name is numerous in Ulster, & in the six countries of northern Ireland having been introduced from Britain prior to the (census) of 1659. The earliest written reference of the Humphrey name is found in the Doomsday Book of 1086, & again in Suffolk the period of 1186-88. Births & Deaths in the Humphrey family have been recorded Darowen, Wales up through the years 1635 to 1708. Listed among the landed gentry in America is the Humphrey family formerly of lyme Regis. The family was begun in America by the arrival of Michael Humphrey of the Devonshire family, in Windsor in 1642. Through the generations they intermarried with the native peoples of the region no doubt mingling the native beliefs with the ancient Welsh Pagan traditions of old.

Business Information

History/background
Mr. Humphrey comes from a long line of artists, craftsmen, and lovers of nature. His father, a scholar and theologian of Native American descent, instilled in him a deep respect for the natural world. His father's brother is an accomplished maker of stained glass. His mother is a proficient oil painter of landscapes; her father was an artist, as well. At 16, Mr. Humphrey began exhibiting a talent for woodworking in the service of cabinet makers and fine furniture shops. Over the following quarter century, his expertise has been called upon to restore valuable antique furniture, refinish cherished pianos, and craft elaborate millwork for banks and public buildings. With skills and experiences such as these, it is no wonder that Mr. Humphrey has earned the distinction of being named the Official Master Wandmaker to the Chicago Close-Up Magic Competition, held annually at Navy Pier in Chicago.
