I'm proud to have been voted one of EBay's top 1000 reviewers, and also of my reputation as an EBay'er (since May of 2003) with the integrity to take a stand against the buyer-bullying so common in today's EBay. Hey sellers: send feedback on payment!

It's a great idea, but just look at what's become of the feedback system! Buyers who attend their transactions promptly should be rewarded, but instead they find their reputation held hostage while the seller leverages for a notch in their own belt. Friends, imagine a waitress who nearly brought you a delicious piece of apple pie, but then detoured at the last minute, instead holding the flakey dessert just inches above your head. She says, how's my tip looking, sweetie? Just put the money on the table first, THEN I'll deliver your pie. Can you spot the problems with this alegory? A) That's no way to run a restaurant. B) Buyers pay in advance, so their money is already on the table; once a transaction is paid, their contribution is complete. Feedback, which is supposed to be a review (biased or not) of the other party's performance, is becoming farsically politicized. When Paid the Seller leaves Feedback, and when the goods are received the Buyer does. That`s my policy.
