My husband & I restore old homes and also work on newer ones. We are restoring our own 1850's home now (and forever, I suppose!)Our favorite thing to do is drive out backroads to see what we find. We can not resist an antique shop or auction!

I buy things I like and use, like clothes, Anchor hocking dishes (they are tough and fairly inexpensive) He buys things for his muscle cars and Heisey glassware. We also buy Hawaii stuff to remind us of home (we are from KY but lived in Hawaii when we got married)

I try to pack everything to protect against the apparent occasional boot-kick from the postal service. (although I think sometimes they run over some with a truck!)I have been making insurance an option on most of my auctions. Sometimes I miss it when I am listing stuff. If you had the option but didn't take it, I am less likely to refund. I also try to be specific in my descriptions. I want everyone who buys an item from me to be happy, so if there is a problem, I am always willing to discuss it and fix it so that we are all happy. Getting a package in the mail feels like getting a present and there is nothing worse than expecting a diamond and getting a lump of coal!
