In the year 2000, the two founders, Chris Friedland and Dave Boctor, needed a subject for their Master's Project in Computer Science. They were attending California State University, Chico - a rural town in northern CA. While working at a local plumbing distributor, they saw an opportunity to sell bathroom and kitchen faucets through the Internet. The (big-box) and local hardware stores only seemed to have a few faucets in stock, in only one color or finish. Showrooms might have several models on display, but they also had to order the majority of their product from larger warehouses or manufacturers. Through our network of 17 niche sites, we have accumulated plenty of overstock products we want to get rid of. Therefore, we are offering rock bottom blowout pricing to make room for our new arrivals.
