Just a little bit of water and diluted spot free dish soap should get rid of any dust or finger prints and leave them nice and shiny when they dry!

I just wanted to thank you on your article about how to spot fakes! Thank you so much.

Love the Crystal cluster I purchased from you. The You Tube Vids are great. I sit and watch all the different specimens you have sold. How would you recommend cleaning a cluster in regular maintenance dust finger prints etc...?

Some of the cut/polished pieces on the market are points that have just had a few faces cut off and polished in order to repair damage but many of the single points are cut out of big broken hunks of quartz and every inch of the surface has a man made shape. Large clusters from Brazil will often have one or more of the faces cut and polished to repair damage. Lots of people buy these clusters without even realizing that the piece has cut/polished faces.

Mike, I wanted to ask you about the 'polished quartz' crystals you see everywhere..are all of these carved from block quartz? I'd assumed that they were just points that had been, well, polished/tidied up. Often when I ask the shop owners, they don't seem to know...or don't want to tell me. To dig crystals right from the mine would be a dream come true for me... imagine iiiiimagine the hype
