Steve & Denise Hight are long-time newlyweds who, along with their dog, Sebastian, collect a variety of antiques, including photographs (Daguerreotypes, Ambrotypes, etc.); English royalty and other commemoratives (porcelain, pressed glass, etc.); furniture (Eastlake, golden oak, etc.); World's Fair souvenirs (1939 and older); British stoneware (ginger beer bottles, etc.); technology (telephones, phonographs, cameras, etc.); paper (fruit crate labels, postcards, advertising, etc.); snips of local history; and other odds and ends (bits & bobs, knicks & knacks) that catch their magpie-like eyes. They are members of the Daguerreian Society and sit on their local historic preservation board, and their photographic history of Fruita, Colorado, part of Arcadia Publishing's Images of America series, is now available for pre-order at all the major online booksellers.
