Great Set
I was waiting on the right price on this item and finally it happened but planned to buy this along time ago, so I was sold way before I bought it. I was a little shocked how small this is. The picture is really deceiving, I know what your thinking its just a box with the slim sets inserted but that's not the case. Its turns out its much smaller then that. It consists of about 10 cd size albums of each season. So its basically as wide as a cd, and as long as 10 of the mini albums and barely as high as a normal dvd. So its size is really misleading unless you saw it in store already. So its very small, I suggest you look at it in person if your expecting it bigger like I was. Id give it excellent rating for X Files alone, but its main flaw is the cheap, cardboard holders. Each CD had a plastic bag but once you remove it its just 2 flaps of cardboard/paper that holds the DVD in place in the albums. So chances are high it will get scuffed, I only have one other set like this, The Little House On The Prairie Complete set uses cardboard/paper sleeves instead of real plastic holders. So beware of that. This is probably worse since its 2 little flaps about the size of your finger nail that hold the dvd in place. I also couldn't find the poster, cards extras in my set, seems there is 2 versions of this, if you look closely, since I wonder if there isn't 2 ultimate sets, 1 big full size, and 1 smaller mini version. So beware look at the spines of the albums they appear different especially at amazon.com. So check that out if your really picky and wanting that poster and cards. Or could be I can't find it. Also US Mail banged mine, the corners look smashed and dented, so you may want to spend a bit extra in shipping if your picky about the condition of yours, but no dvds are broke that I can see. Ive always been a fan, not hardcore like some, but a fan enough to buy the entire set at the right price, watch those prices, if you spent over 200 you spent too much, you might as well buy the older dvd individual seasons. But I think if you get this under $120 you should be good, paying more for cheap dvd paper/cardboard holders for each dvd seems steep, In my opinion. Great set otherwise, great to have them all, in 1 neat spot, but I do have my doubts about its longevity but I guess I will see, its the sacrifice that is made to make it so compact. Honestly I think they did this on purpose to get you to buy another set down the road, but that's just my opinion.

Works but time consuming and costly
I see alot of praise for this product, so it inspired me to give it a shot to record TV from my cable box. My first assumption about this device was wrong. I like many others think this will work like a VCR, just hit record and pause the commercials and stop and in the end you have a nice modern h264 digital file recording of your tv show, just like you would have with a VCR without the Tape. WRONG.. 1st there is NO pause, so this can ONLY START/STOP which means you have to include commercials. So its worse then a ancient analog VCR. You would be better off recording your TV show with a VCR to pause and cut commercials, then input the VCR into this device to record the final output. Or PAY another $50-$100 for cutting software which seems to work on Windows Only. It does not include cutting software, and the software it does include can cut for DVDs but it does it out of sync with the audio so its worthless. The TME software, make sure you buy one with the disc, I bought a used one that said it was easy to download, its not, not even available from manufacture anymore. Totally overrated, I don't understand all this positive reviews, 1) The software is flaky and temperamental and ONLY for windows. The manufacture only provides the drivers NOT the capture program which does the recording. Unless you buy it new. 2) No remote, even if it did, looks like the pause button would be just taking up space. 3) No cutting software, unless you want raw uncut recordings of your favorite shows this is useless. Bewarned its not as great as the reviews would have you believe, if your using it as a vcr replacement prepare for headaches and extra costs.

One of the best comedy tv series of all time.
Seinfeld is only second to Married With Children, thats my opinion only, and to this day I still watch reruns on tv to the point Ive memorized them practically. Brilliant work, really there was no hard decision here, I knew I was going to buy this years ago, I just needed the spare money to do so. I bought the special "Fridge Set" which is basically a cardboard fridge around the normal coffee table set, I thought It would be metal like a oldschool lunchbox since some have magnets but its just cardboard. Ive bought Little House On The Prairie the box set, and Recently X Files the complete boxset. Seinfeld is by far the best to protect the great video on the DVDs. All the dvds have a plastic tray each, which makes it easy to inspect the backside of the discs for broken ones. This is how all dvd complete sets should be done. I love this, there are 2 albums and you just flip to the dvd you wish. Excellent job, hats off to the manufactures, I wish they did this with Little House On The Prairie and X Files which both have paper/cardboard sleeves only. This takes a bit more space, the fridge set is almost double the size of the X Files set, But Ill take size to keep the dvds in proper working condition. Im sure you don't even need any reviews of this set, Seinfeld speaks for itself and sells itself, but how its packed is important to some of us, so I hope my review helped you there.
