I started my photography at the age of 6 using a Box Camera with black & white film. My first photo shot was Yosemite Valley, including Camp Curry, the Merced River, Yosemite Waterfalls, Vernal Waterfalls, and of special interest, the Fire Falls viewed from Camp Curry after the ranger’s program. While my black and whites were in no way as grand as Ansel Adam’s were it was a beginning. When I was 10, I ventured into animal photography, mostly at the world famous San Diego Zoo. It took careful planning not to include the fences and barriers, as this was before the days of zoom lenses. It was in my 7th grade photography class that I learned my basic darkroom skills. In high school I worked part time at the city’s premier photography studio. In time I moved up to 35 mm film and slide photography and the use of electronic flash. In the late 1960s I began doing wedding photography for friends and family, as well as, some portrait work. Continued below under part II of II.

My Photo Biography - Part II of II: By this time my library of self-study books grew to be about 10 feet wide. In 1972, I began doing wedding, portrait, and general photography professionally. With earning some money I was able to purchase a medium format camera, various flash and lighting accessories, and delved into professional photography study, such as, the New York Institute of Photography. During the years following I have enjoyed and benefit from hands on training and curriculum on various campuses. Today, while I still do occasional film and slide shooting most of my work is digital with a focus on Making My Pictures Better in Photoshop including the add-ons and special manual photo-editing skills I have acquired. I truly enjoy color photography, black and white photography, sepia toning, and many other monotones. I enjoy helping others make their pictures look better, so please ask me to help you make your photos better and format them for their best display.

On many of my auctions I send my clients an email proof to make sure they are pleased. If they are not pleased, I will do my best to please them; and if I cannot please them they owe me nothing! I always try to treat others better than I would like to be treated. Every day I try to be a little nicer.
