Vintage Fisher-Price toys, interesting clothing, fabric & jewellery, symbolic items, books, and anything else that I think you might find appealing.

Parts for older Fisher-Price playsets, rare beads, symbolic & ritual items, and anything I cannot readily find near me. Because UPS charges $23 just for going through customs, I only buy from US Sellers using the US Postal Service.

Sometimes retired dolls or vintage F-P toys inspire me to create OOAK items. I especially like working with playsets. This time-consuming imaginative process has as an objective a toy setting that is suitable for real play, but it must also be true to a certain style / culture / history. The added rules are 1. to use only what is at hand in my collection at the time 2. to alter only what is not in fine condition 3. to keep only the photos. The set is then offered for sale.

Some Buyers think the Detailed Star Rating for Shipping means time before receiving the item, but it's not. It is SUPPOSED to reflect the amount of time a Seller takes to ship it, which I do almost immediately -- even on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Similarly for Shipping Cost. I never charge more than required and often give Refunds. Where's my 5th gold star? If YMAGYK is to stay in business, how can shipping be less than what Canada Post charges?

PayPal, which takes credit cards and also allows you to transfer funds from an existing bank account, is best because it is fast and very secure. As your Seller, I prefer it because I need to get your item out as fast as possible. Otherwise I will not be able to move around my little space to locate the next item. Please email me if you absolutely need to use another method of payment, or if you are going to take longer than 3 days to pay.

I ship as fast as I can -- often within an hour or so. I charge what Canada Post requires. I can also ship UPS but it's usually more expensive for the client. There is a handling fee of between $0.50 and $2.50 (when complex packaging is needed.) I'd like to be able to offer flat rate shipping fees but my volume of sales is not that high and since the value of the Canadian dollar keeps changing, and so does the cost of fuel and therefore, the Canada Post rates, as soon as I think I've found a good formula, conditions have changed!

I realize Canadian shipping costs Buyers more, and I need to move my stock, so I price a little lower than most. However I cannot go TOO low. I think I am very fair. I think Buyers do not generally understand how much work goes into bringing vintage items to market. 1. Hunting takes time, driving costs gas. 2. An item usually costs between $0.50 - $20. I may have to return to search among bags of things I don't need just to find an item to complete a set. (Sometimes I can exchange what I do not want, but not often.) 3. Cleaning can take an hour or more, special cleaning products cost money. 4. Packaging materials cost money, too. 5. Just listing on EBay costs money and 6. As of May 2010, eBay takes 12% at time of sale. 7. PayPal takes a cut. 8. Postage costs (as you know) and so does driving to the post office. Next time you think, It's USED! Why does it cost so much? please try to recall all aspects of the whole process.

I ship small items worldwide using the most reasonable option which is via Canada Post Surface mail. You must first confirm with me that you fully understand that this method can take from 6 weeks to up to 3 months.
